Essie: Skirting The Issue

Hey Guys!
I got my first Essie polish the other day.

It.  Looks.  Like.  Blood.

Blood.  On my fingernails lol.

Which I think is totally rad especially for Halloween.  I didn't really like the look on it's own, so I put a shimmery Zoya polish on top which made it look amazing.  I didn't snap a picture before it was ruined =(

The ring finger has two coats, and the rest have three.

What do you think?  I think it's a great fall color and definitely would be a great base for some cool Fall/Halloween art.
I welcome any and all questions or comments down below!

The Blog is Back!; Perception Nail Lacquer: Indian Summer

The blog is back!  Thank goodness because I missed posting for you guys =)

Today I did swatches of a goodie I bought for myself.  Perception Nail Lacquer
was having a sale so I snagged one!

Here is Indian Summer:

I had a hard time capturing the holo for some reason.  But it is definitely so SO shimmery.

I applied two coats over Sally Hansen: Fuschia Bling Bling.

I tried to do three coats by itself, but it definitely was made to be worn over something.

Go buy this polish here!

Enjoy the rest of your work week, and leave any comments or questions.
Emily =)

*Just so you know this is a mini bottle.  Don't think that if you buy a full size this is all you will get!

**I was in no way compensated or reimbursed for this review.  I bought the polish on my own and wanted to share my view on it!

What do you guys want to see?

My main reason for this post is to ask you, as my readers, what you would like to see?
Once I get 5-7 ideas from you, the readers, I will have a nail art week with tutorials included.

Some ideas are:
*Animals (be specific though)
*Flowers
*TV characters
*Colors
*Dots, stripes, triangles, whatever you think you want to learn how to do, I think this would be an amazing learning experience for everyone, myself included!

Also, here's a nail for today:  Sinful Colors: Hottie over Wet n Wild: Blue Moon.
Let me know what you guys think!  Have a happy Wednesday =)

Sinful Colors Swatches!

The Sinful Colors I picked up the other night FINALLY made their way onto my nails.
(That's ONE thing I don't like about working weekends!)

Without further ado...

First off: Sinful Colors: Moss Have

This is from the new Metallic collection they've come out with.  I really wanted to get all of them but I contained myself (for the sake of my husband's sanity!).

It's a gorgeous milky metallic polish.  This is two coats.  It honestly could have done it in one coat!

And... Last but not least...

 Sinful Colors: Nail Junkie
 (lol...what an appropriate name.)

For my undies I decided to try it over two different colors.
Sally Hansen: Emerald City
Wet and Wild: Caribbean Frost

First off: The WNW

I really liked it over the turquoise, it fit the polish since they were nearly the same color.

Here it is over the Sally Hansen.  (and I decided to try it over a gray on my ring finger!)

So what's the verdict: Green or turquoise?  I honestly still can't decide STILL while I sit here and stare at my nails!

*(Also, I used two coats of Nail Junkie over two coats of the undie polishes in all pictures.)

Walgreen's Late Night Trip!

So last night I decided I should go to Walgreen's and nab some of those Sinful Colors for
99 cents.  I mean come on.  It would be SILLY for me not to.

Of course when I told my husband he rolled his eyes and said "Oh geez, more nail polish."
I'm sure some of you guys can relate to that.

Anywho....My brother, a friend and I were watching tv that night, and I said "Ok we're going to Walgreen's."  Little did they know...we were going for polish (bun bun bun...)

Of course they were embarrassed when I sat on the floor in front of the display ooh-ing and ah-ing over the pretty colors.  All in all I controlled myself and only grabbed 2!  But it was definitely worth it.

Gosh they are just gorgeous!  I really love the quality of SC for the price.  Even when they're not on sale they're only $2.

Left to right: Nail Junkie (quite appropriate I might add), and Moss Have from the new Hot Flash  Metallic collection.

So my question to you is, do you buy nail polish no matter what the price is?  Or are you a sucker for deals like me and only do it when there's a good savings rush?

Swatch post of these two coming up tomorrow!

Until then.  =)

Tea Time nails!

These nails remind of the GOOD china I used to play tea with.

Yeah....this is Mr. Frodo.  He didn't want to get out of my shot so I just let him have a little fame!

I used NYC: French Tip White (if you guys haven't noticed by now, this is my go to for white.  Especially for stamping!)
and Revlon: Royal

Here are the pictures of the final mani!  I did this on both hands because I loved it so much!

Have a happy Thursday!
